Presentation The standards of advertising allude to the different ideas or components that give a structure to building up a promoting methodology. The standards advise the procedure regarding figuring the showcasing targets and systems of accomplishing such goals. The fundamental standards of showcasing incorporate â€Å"product, value, situation and promotion† (Harker 198, vol. 4, pp. 315-327).Advertising We will compose a custom exposition test on Toyota Motor Corporation Marketing Principles explicitly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More These standards impact the showcasing practitioner’s perspective on the job of advertising in a business domain. This implies firms characterize the job of advertising dependent on these standards. This paper centers around these standards by fundamentally assessing Doyle’s meaning of showcasing. The use of Doyle’s meaning of showcasing will be talked about with regards to Toyota Motor Corporation. Meaning of M arketing According to Doyle (2002, p.29), â€Å"marketing is the administration procedure that tries to expand comes back to investors by creating associations with esteemed clients and making a serious advantage†. This definition sees promoting as a worth expansion process that helps in accomplishing the shareholders’ development targets by setting up associations with clients. This can be assessed as follows. The Evaluation Management Process The above definition sees showcasing as an administration work that centers around the client. This infers firms are diverting their consideration from creation to the client so as to improve their intensity. This implies distinguishing proof and fulfillment of customers’ needs is the most significant part of advertising (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). In this manner, promoting being an administration procedure depends on the utilization of logical, scientific and financial aspects methods to accompl ish its motivations. These procedures help in comprehension the customers’ needs and how to fulfill them. In any case, Doyle’s definition disregards the way that advertising is likewise connected with craftsmanship and innovativeness. For instance, the structure of adverts for a specific item is a masterpiece that depends on imagination (Srivastava, Fahey Christensen 2001, vol. 29, pp. 771-802). Since many showcasing supervisors come up short on the workmanship abilities, the publicizing exercises are normally done by an outside organization. For instance, Toyota re-appropriates the promoting administrations. Augmentation of Returns The second piece of Doyle’s definition, â€Å"†¦maximizing comes back to shareholders†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (Doyle 2002, p. 29) infers that showcasing includes trades that are gainful to both the shoppers and the firm’s investors. The investors profit by the income collecting from the sold goods.Advertising Looking for article o n business financial matters? We should check whether we can support you! In this way as per Doyle, the primary reason for stamping is to improve the benefit of the firm by expanding deals. This depends on the way that the market is totally serious. Subsequently the clients must be impacted to purchase the item through promoting exercises, for example, publicizing (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). This implies in the event that Toyota’s promoting plan is educated by Doyle’s definition, at that point the primary goal of the arrangement will be benefit augmentation. This can be accomplished through low costs so as to build income as the piece of the pie increments because of value decrease. It can likewise be accomplished through significant expenses particularly if the interest for Toyotaâ€⠄¢s vehicles is high. Notwithstanding, the utilization of this idea is generally constrained by advertise wasteful aspects, for example, the nearness of syndications. Imposing business models for example dishearten rivalry and this sabotages the capacity of the showcasing procedure to encourage expansion of profits (Siomkos Viechopoulos 2002, vol. 3, pp. 22-38). Additionally, different governments can acquaint exchange portions request with secure their neighborhood ventures by restricting the offer of Toyota’s vehicles in their economies. This implies showcasing can not generally lead to augmentation of profits because of market wasteful aspects and outer natural factors, for example, guideline. Thusly, so as to augment returns, Toyota must assess the impact of the large scale natural elements on its exhibition. Client Orientation The third piece of Doyle’s definition, â€Å"†¦developing associations with esteemed customers†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (Doyle 2002, p. 29) infe rs that the client is the focal point of the advertising procedure. This implies firms must comprehend the interest of their items so as to stay serious. This depends on the way that the interest mirrors the needs and needs of the clients (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). In this manner all showcasing choices will be educated by the needs or needs of the shoppers. For instance, Toyota will be serious if its evaluating choices are educated by the measure of money that potential purchasers are willing and ready to spend on its vehicles. The ramifications of this idea is that lone the showcasing procedures that are inline with the necessities or needs of the clients will be sought after. This requires a component for assessing the reasonableness of each advertising technique. In addition, detailing of the promoting methodology must start with assessment of the requirements of the clients (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). The levelheaded behind th is idea is that delivering products without comprehension customers’ desires can prompt wastage of assets since such merchandise probably won't be bought.Advertising We will compose a custom article test on Toyota Motor Corporation Marketing Principles explicitly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More Focusing on the client helps in creating products and ventures that meet the desire for purchasers. Hence the clients will have the option to get an incentive for their cash. Clients will in general be faithful to a firm and its items in the event that they get an incentive for their cash (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). Thus the nature of Toyota’s items must be adjusted to the requirements of the clients so as to guarantee brand faithfulness. The idea of client direction sees the showcasing blend from the gracefully side and this can be clarified as follows. The item speaks to the answer for the necessities or needs of the clients. Such items ma y be acknowledged whether they fulfill the necessities of the clients (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). Advancement speaks to the wellsprings of data about the economic situation. Limited time exercises help the buyers to find out about the different merchandise and ventures being offered in the market. They additionally offer the venders a chance to draw in the clients in discussions. Therefore, they get data about customers’ needs. The cost speaks to the worth that clients connect to the merchandise offered in the market. Clients will just address for costs that compare to the value of the items particularly if the market is serious (Halstead, Jones Lesseig 2008, vol. 13, pp. 183-192). At long last, place signifies access to the created merchandise. It decides the customers’ capacity to purchase the delivered merchandise. Accordingly Toyota can expand the deals of its vehicles on the off chance that it leaves on an effective appropriation direct i n the worldwide market. This can be accomplished through banding together with free vehicle sales centers in different markets so as to dispose of the expense of setting up branches in each nation. While Doyle accepted that concentrating on the client is the most ideal approach to amplify restores, the accompanying perspectives contradict his point of view. To start with, his point of view excludes the job of inward proficiency concerning promoting achievement. The promoting division must cooperate with different offices, for example, account and innovative work. This implies poor coordination of these divisions will prompt a disappointment in the showcasing procedure regardless of whether all the requirements of the clients have been considered (Srivastava, Fahey Christensen 2001, vol. 29, pp. 771-802). For instance, the account office can neglect to support the advertising methodology on the ground that it will meddle with the firm’s incomes. In this manner Toyota’s promoting group should likewise concentrate on the job the firm as entire in the showcasing procedure so as to succeed. Second, Doyle’s definition doesn't concentrate on the item and this can prompt disappointment. Customers’ criticism with respect to item advancement is at times unreliable.Advertising Searching for article on business financial aspects? We should check whether we can support you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Find out More This depends on the way that clients can not foresee the items that will be accessible to them in future (Srivastava, Fahey Christensen 2001, vol. 29, pp. 771-802). This implies they can not illuminate the makers on the merchandise that they will purchase in future. Subsequently, a maker like Toyota can concentrate on delivering an item through its own innovative work and afterward utilize the advertising procedure to make a business opportunity for the item. Division According to Doyle’s definition, returns are amplified if the firm can build up associations with esteemed clients. ‘Valued customers’ for this situation means the idea of division. Division alludes to the way toward recognizing the â€Å"most reasonable gathering of purchasers to focus with explicit products† (Siomkos Viechopoulos 2002, vol. 3, pp. 22-38). Essay Topics About Sports

Essay Topics About SportsIf you are writing a persuasive essay about sports, you will need to have some knowledge about the subject. You may find that when you go through a course on sports and current events, you learn about some of the big things that affect the sport. You might even be able to give an example of a story or event that happened recently to help your readers understand what you are saying. However, you should not rely too much on these examples to make your point. When you are writing a persuasive essay about sports, you will want to emphasize the positives of the sport itself. For example, a basketball player would have something positive to say about their career, such as, I have had a lot of fun playing basketball and getting paid for it. When they are the one getting paid, they can put a little spotlight on the fact that they were the one getting paid. Other examples of positive stuff that could be said to include, I am happy that my mother is here to watch me pla y and she gets paid for this. There are many other examples.A persuasive essay about sports might also touch on the negative things about the sport. These may include, I am so glad that I was never good enough to play in the NBA. Many people don't like to admit that they aren't good enough and will make fun of those who are or will continue to try and prove them wrong. The best example to use would be to show how a professional player has grown. How did they improve? Why did they do it?One more thing to consider when writing a persuasive essay about sports is how much fun the sport is to play. Do you want to just play the game or are you trying to develop it? Some sports get the sports fanatic in all of us. Some of us might have nothing better to do than to play for fun and some of us could care less about the game.A good example of a persuasive essay topic about sports would be, I enjoy the game of football because I get to play for fun. In addition, I think that it is much more exc iting when it is being played by talented players. To conclude, you should show how your favorite sport can be fun, exciting, and even educational. Finally, remember that sportsmanship is important in any type of sport. If you are honest with the sport, you will do well. If you lie, then you are more likely to come off as something that is dishonest, which will be damaging to your essay. When writing essays on essay topics about sports, you should give examples that show what the writer's feelings are about the subject matter. You should also be prepared to provide details that the reader can easily follow.

Guide to Retaking the SAT

Alright, you’re in. You’re going to retake the SAT. Maybe you are going in with the dogged determination of Katniss Everdeen challenging President Snow. Or, literally, like this dog: Maybe you’re being dragged in kicking and screaming. Either way, you’re in. (Or maybe you’re not! In which case, check out our post Should I Retake the SAT? first.) So what do you do now? Here’s a handy guide to making the most of your SAT retake so you can get the results that you want. Step 1: Assess What Went Wrong Before Maybe there is an easy answer: you stayed out way too late the night before or the proctor messed up the timing. But, likely the answer is more complicated. Be honest and ask yourself: Did I prepare enough? Was I studying in an effective way for how I learn? Did test anxiety or family or peer pressure affect my performance? Did I get enough sleep, nutritious food, and exercise leading up to the test and on the test day? Make a list and use it to brainstorm solutions for your retake. Step 2: Make a (New) Plan Don’t dig to the bottom of your backpack to salvage a crumpled-up study schedule from your first SAT. Maybe some of what you did worked, but likely you have learned a lot from your experience and have a better idea of what you should do this time. Again, write your solutions down and hold yourself to them. For example, maybe you weren’t expecting such difficult vocabulary questions (potential solution: study twenty new vocabulary words a night). Or maybe you panicked when you realized you were running of time (potential solution: practice timed sections and work with a tutor on time management strategies) Make sure your plan includes choosing a test date that gives you enough time to prepare and one that works with your overall schedule. I am constantly encountering students who accidentally scheduled their SAT for the morning after prom. Really spoils the fun. Consider working around other tests you want to take as well. Remember SAT subject tests take place on the same day as the SAT. See How to Study for an SAT Retake for more on choosing your study strategies for this go-around. Step 3: Manage Your Expectations But Go Forward With Confidence! You are taking the SAT again because you feel you can do better. And you can. The wonderful thing about the SAT (as horrible as it can seem at times) is that it can be learned. Don’t let anyone tell you the SAT measures how smart you are. That’s just wrong. According to the College Board, 55 percent of juniors taking the test improved their scores as seniors: on average about 40 points (although you can do much better with the right preparation). So odds are in your favor. That being said, be realistic. If you have already studied hard, a 300-point increase may not be possible, but a 50-point increase from addressing your weakest points could be well within your grasp. Step 4: Remember This Might Not Be the End of the Road Depending on how much time you have, there may be another retake in your future. Test prep can be a long process for many students. So if something goes wrong on your retake, make sure you go back to Step 1 of this blog. Take notes and refine your plan or develop a new one. And if something goes really wrong, don’t forget that you have the option to cancel your scores within a few days of the test. This means you won’t get to see them, of course, but neither will anyone else. Sometimes, knowing you have an â€Å"out† (whether it is the option to cancel your scores or a future test date) is all you need to take the pressure off of a retake. And perhaps that is the most important takeaway from this guide. There is nothing that can sabotage a retake like added pressure, so remember: take stock of what went wrong, develop a solid plan, manage your expectations, and be confident in what you have learned. You’ll show the SAT who’s boss this time.

Love, Lust and Infatuation in Midsummer Night’s Dream Essay

Fairies, mortals, magic, love, and hate all intertwine to make A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare a very enchanting tale, that takes the reader on a truly dream-like adventure. The action takes place in Athens, Greece in ancient times, but has the atmosphere of a land of fantasy and illusion which could be anywhere. The mischievousness and the emotions exhibited by characters in the play, along with their attempts to double-cross destiny, not only make the tale entertaining, but also help solidify one of the play’s major themes; that true love and it’s cleverly disguised counterparts can drive beings to do seemingly irrational things. In the first part of the play Egeus has asked the Duke of Athens, Theseus, to rule in†¦show more content†¦Oberon, riddled with jealousy over his queen’s beloved â€Å"changeling†, plots to make a fool out of Titania with his magic potion so he may steal away the child. Oberons love-potion has the same effect of that of the famed Cupids arrows, it charms the sight of those it is anointed upon, and gets them to fall in â€Å"love† with the first creature they see. Oberon anoints the eyes of Titania and she ends up falling in â€Å"love† with the first creature she sees, Bottom, an actor who is rehearsing in the woods, who’s head has been turned into that of an ass by Puck. Oberon plan is successful, he is in fact able to steal away the child while his queen dotes upon Bottom, but then things start to get more complicated in the moonlit woods. Two other mortals have entered the woods that night as well, Demetrius and Helena. Helena, hopelessly in love with Demetrius, is following him on his mission to find his betrothed, Hermia, and they are also subjected to the mischievous workings of Oberon and Puck. Oberon, after observing the two young mortals, feels bad for â€Å"sweet† Helena, that even though she is professing her undying love and devotio n to Demetrius he rejects her at every turn. Demetrius hatefully tells Helena â€Å" I’ll run from thee and hide me in the brakes, and leave thee to the mercy of wild beasts’’, along with other loathsome statements, in rebuttal to Helena’sShow MoreRelated Illusion of Love in Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream Essay1535 Words   |  7 PagesIllusion of Love in Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream The play A Midsummer Nights Dream is centered around themes that are seemingly apparent and clear: those of true love, false love, loves blindness and the inconstancy of love. He was thought that the Jew’s were different people compared to normal people. Bruno only noticed the ‘outside’ of the camp, but he didn’t really understand what was happening ‘inside’ it. Physical distance from the campsite helps to create an emotional distance. This also helps to dim the horror of the events happening in the camp. Boys like Bruno were always very impish, curious, messy and daring about the ‘outside’ world (daring enough to ‘explore’). Bruno interprets their actions, by seeing the children falling down and thinks they are just playing games. He doesn’t realize that they were shot or beaten up by the soldiers. Wrestling Essays - WWE Hall Of Fame, , Term Papers

Wrestling I would just like to start out and say that I don't think that watching wrestling on television is worth while. I can't understand how millions of people sit around their living rooms watching a bunch of muscle-bound wanna be jocks play fight and talk *censored*. IT'S NOT REAL! What else do I have to say? The wrestlers and the officials admit it. The couch potatoes that watch this garbage are drawn in by the story of all things. You see, there is an ongoing saga behind every pseudo-body slam. None of it is real though, none of the trash talking, partnerships, or the fighting is real. Even so, people still are addicted to it. Wrestling today is bigger than it has ever been before. It is constantly ranked first on the Neilson Ratings (along with 2nd, 3rd, and so on until 7th). So, my question is, why is this phony wrestling so popular? Professional wrestling is one of the many worthless products of the 1980's. It had it's time in the spotlight in the mid to late 80's with super-stars like Hulk Hogan and Andr? The Giant. Then faded along with eight tracks and wine coolers. The difference, wrestlers along with the officials swore that every move was real. Every time Hulk Hogan fake-punched his opponent while simotaniously stomping his foot on the floor to create the illusion that he actually hit him, was supposed to be real. As the 90's rolled in wrestling took a bout of silence. For an instant I thought that people had found the same thing that I had, a remote control, and changed the channel. We aren't that lucky though because it is back, WWF and WCW are more popular than ever. The WCW and the WWF are not offiliated though. The WCW consists of has been super stars like Hulk Hogan, now known as Hollywood Hogan, and Rick Flair. On the other hand the WWF hasa new fresh redneck blood like Stone Cold Steve Austin and his archival Kane. Only the WWF gives drug tests to it's participants, which is funny because all the old has beens have had a history of steroid use then quit, but now they are as ripped as they have ever been... hmmm sounds fishy. Most of the wrestling fan base watches the WWF, the fans say that it has a better story line and more appealing characters. While the WCW just has old burnouts who are hooked on steroids and can't write a simple script. At a time when Jerry Springer's ratings are at an all time high, it does not surprise me that people may occasionally tune into something like pro-wrestling, but week after week just seems like too much. According to Time.com, "...about 34 million people watch wrestling every week".(Time, 1999) People who watch television these days want to see violence, they want to see controversy and conflict. The ironic thing is that the WWF and the WCW boast about themselves being "non-violent" and a family oriented program because all the wrestling is staged. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, "...in 50 episodes of "WWF RAW is War" on the USA network featured 42 instances of simulated drug or alcohol use or possession; 1,658 instances of wrestlers grabbing or pointing to their crotches..." (EW, 1999) now, how family oriented is talking about drugs while grabbing your crotch? They buy into this nighttime soap opera of a sport, knowing that it is actually just like any other action-adventure with little plot of conflict and resolution. Of a two hour program, only about a half an hour is devoted to actual wrestling matches. You must wade through the countless trash talking, advertisements, and amateur fights before you finally get to a main event which will, of course have the outcome predetermined by the participants. Now the WWF and the WCW are everywhere, there is tons of merchandise from shirts to video games, and they are all over the Internet. The official sight of the WWF (WWF.com) has had a traffic increase of 300 percent just since April 1998.(cnn.com) Each sight is about the same, they give the latest news and profile a select few wrestlers. The obvious rivalry between the two is blatantly obvious in site chat rooms. The chatters boast that Stone Cold could beat Goldberg or vice versa. Everyone has a distinct view on this wrestling issue, I just wish there was no issue.

Mammal Species Characteristics

Mammal Species Characteristics Have you ever thought about what makes mammal species different from other vertebrates? If not, Im sure that you have noticed the differences between a snake, which is a reptile, and an elephant. Being a mammal myself, I have always found this particular class of vertebrates very interesting. As you will see, mammals have certain characteristics that differentiate them from other vertebrates. Lets take a look at some of these characteristics. Mammal Characteristics To begin with, mammal species are in the Class Mammalia, within the Subphylum Vertebrata, under the Phylum Chordata, in the Kingdom Animalia. Now that you have that straight, lets look at some specific traits of mammals. One main characteristic that mammals have is a feature that usually stands on end in frightening situations. Can you guess what it is? Yes, its hair or fur, whichever the case may be. This trait is useful in maintaining the constant body temperature that is important to all endothermic animals. Another characteristic is the ability to produce milk. This comes in handy while nourishing babies which are usually born fully developed (exceptions are the monotremes and the marsupials). Fertilization occurs within the reproductive tract of the female and most have a placenta that provides nutrients to the developing embryo. Mammalian young are usually slow to leave the nest, which allows for a longer period of time for the parents to teach skills that are necessary for survival. Respiratory and circulatory features of mammals include a diaphragm for proper lung ventilation and a heart that has four chambers to ensure that blood is circulated appropriately. Mammals can comprehend and learn things, which can be attributed to a larger brain size as compared to vertebrates of similar size. Finally, the existence of teeth that are different in size and function is a trait that is seen among mammals. All of these characteristics (hair, maintaining a constant body temperature, production of milk, internal fertilization, young born fully developed, highly developed circulatory and respiratory systems, larger brain size, and differences in the size and function of teeth) make mammal species unique among the vertebrates.

World War One and its Aftermath, Extract from the Treaty of Versailles Essay

World War One and its Aftermath, Extract from the Treaty of Versailles (1919) - Essay Example notes, as does other writers in this field, that the chief architects instrumental in designing this peace deal – a deal which bashed Germany on the face and left her drop on a myriad of problems, acted so on pressure from the electorates of their respective nations. George Clemenceau- the French Prime Minister, Woodrow Wilson-the American President Vittorio Orlando-the Italian Prime Minister and David Lloyd- the British Prime Minister were the four members of council that deliberated on the peace deal. It is important to point out that Germany was excluded from the talks and their fate was determined by the council of four2. Kitchen seems to employ a neutral ground rather than that of criticism in his articulation of facts and opinions. He appears not to be holding belligerent views with other writers on this topic but instead, concurs to a larger extent with what is in other texts. His focus is on a sober audience who intends to find out historical facts free from personal prejudice and judgment, something, which I believe, is the underlying drive for this work. One exception though, he doesn’t seem to agree with those who are quick to blame the Versailles treaty as the direct cause of world war two. He instead has Hitler and his limitless ambitions to blame. The culmination of the bloody war which had far reaching effects on nations and humanity, which defied definitive calculation, came to a halt with the signing of the peace agreement on 28th of June 1919 in Paris, France. This was the peace treaty with Germany.3 Best 1984 p2 ,points out that there were other lesser treaties with Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria and Turkey. The former, he confirms, was crafted by the four council members while the latter was left to the government officials and inter-Allied agencies. What then were the outcomes of the Versailles Treaty? There is a general consensus in the works of many writers that the end result of the treaty was nothing to be desired by the Germans.

Englishness Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Englishness - Essay Example Lamming continues that Englishness is often defined in its colonizing and expanding terms, as an instrument to demonstrate superiority and class division. Laclau (1985) sees the social differentiation also as geographical one - England and the colonized territories -West Indies, Africa, Australia. The geographical places also create ambiguity in the religious sphere, because if you are different on the bases on religious beliefs, historical background, social class, than one can not be included in the "Englishness" shared by the natives. . Lamming (1984) remarks that there is a linguistic barrier too - well-spoken English versus the broken English. Englishness appeared as an ideology as early as 18th, transforming itself into a modern phenomenon separating colonized people from the industrialized society and well-taught Christians from elite class. The distinguished English attitude establishes boundaries between the white race and the others described as savages and primitive (James 1984). Consequently, the very skin color empowers the people to incorporate certain English attitudes towards the different ones, adding more features into the differentiation. In this way the white people disempower the colonized subject, disparaging both his culture and his human status. Lamming (1984) gives an example of the English writer embodying the Englishness and the West Indian writer which can not be grasped as intelligent and thoughtful as the English one. In this sense otherness is seen "part of his historic contract, the English critic accepts-for what else can he do-the privilege so natural and so free of being the child and product and voice of a colonizing civilization (Lamming 30)." The Englishness doctrine leads to hegemony and postcolonial supremacy (James 1984). Englishness lay paternity claims over the different cultures and renders invisibility so as to minimize their influential contribution to the variety of cultures that Englishness must include. Eagleton (1976) in his chapter 'Ideology and literary form" includes a definition of "ideology" and how the literary form of it has brought it to disarray. "In English literary culture of the past century, the ideological basis of organic form is peculiarly visible, as a progressively impoverished bourgeois liberalism attempts to integrate more ambitious and affective ideological modes (Eagleton 161)."Macherey (2006) in his most pivotal literary theory focuses his attention both on the reader and on the writer. Macherey's (2006) statement is that the very act of reading produces numerous interpretations and meanings in the different readers, which are beyond the control of the writer. Generating a new branch of post-structuralist theory Macherey (2006) argues that contemporary literature announces the death of the author, because it evokes all kinds of interpretations into its reader. Macherey (2006) compares the critical viewpoint of the reader with psychological analyses which aim to discover the hidden meaning behind the text. The text plays on the unconscious of the readers. In his short story "A Sahib's War" Kipling uses the device of the "imperfectly-informed narrator". The story is set during the Second Boer War and is told through Sikh soldier's point of view. Although he reports everything that is happening around

Reformation for the Health of the Population Essay Example for Free

Reformation for the Health of the Population Essay Population health is an ever progressing branch of medicine that is fundamentally concerned with improving the health of a population as opposed to the sole health of the individual. Advances in technology continue to improve the average life expectancy, yet the American healthcare system is failing to evolve. Insurance companies routinely collect huge profits, yet a significant portion of the American population remains subject to poor health care. Reconstructions in academia and at the legislative level are a necessity if there is to be any advancement to our healthcare system and increase within population health. Medical training has proven to be insufficient in teaching students how to care for patients outside of the primary demographic to which they were exposed during their studies (Greenlick, p. 2). Future physicians should be trained to better understand the dynamics and diversified needs of the individuals from the populations in which they will be serving. Having a working awareness of multiple patient populations would allow physicians to better serve that individual and collectively improve the population. Socioeconomic disparities, ethnic variances, access to proper nutrition, and genetic predisposition to particular diseases are a few factors that need be considered to provide quality care. Reshaping of medical school curriculum to better prepare students to understand the distribution of disease, the environmental effects on health and disease, and how to interpret the needs of a larger variety of populations should become a priority in medical academia. Reformation is not isolated to any gender, ethnicity, social class, or age group. Health care reform remains a hot topic amongst the one-percenters, the bottom bracket, and the classes in between. Universal reforms need to be made in order to equalize our health care system. Quality care should not be about the bottom line for profit but about respect and concern for one’s fellow-man. The greatest opposition for reformation tends to come from a small, privileged demographic who is satisfied with the status quo and rather not pay reasonably higher taxes in order for the poorer population to access adequate health care. Legislation like the Affordable Care Act is in a sense socializing health care but its  ideals are a step in the right direction for successful reformation. Further clarity is needed to determine an exact methodology to make improvements in population health and the barriers that must be overcome for them to succeed (Eggleston, Abstract). Nevertheless, a financially sound method to fund health care for all should be implemented by the government. Millions of Americans are still uninsured or underinsured and taxing the wealthy to redistribute wealth and improve health resources for the population could alleviate some of the burden our system is facing. Insuring more Americans will prevent the uninsured from having to use emergency rooms due to untimely care of preventative disease which ends up being more costly and ineffective in the long run. Better access to health care for the disadvantaged would improve society on the whole as they would be better able to find and to remain healthy on their jobs thus becoming more productive contributors to society.†¨ In order to improve the quality of life for all, reforms in healthcare practice and academia need to be initiated. There is no room for political bias and unfounded claims for opposition if there is to be any improvement in the health of the population. Health care should be accepted as an essential human right, not a privilege. Social and financial factors must be eliminated when access to care is assessed in order to improve the health of the population and improve society.

Gay Marriage Should be Legal :: Argumentative Persuasive Essays

On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that the US Constitution guarantees the right for same-sex couples to marry. Should gay marriages be legal? Clearly we as a nation are undecided on this issue. Thirty-six states have passed legislation banning gay marriages, yet a few states have passed laws that allows homosexual couples the right to participate in civil unions. Several other states are also debating whether or not to allow these couples to marry. Unfortunately, the dispute has left the United States' homosexual community in an awkward position. There are some people who think that gay people have no rights and should never be allowed to marry, and others believe that gay people should enjoy the same rights and privileges as heterosexuals. I think that the United States should allow same-sex couples to marry just like heterosexual couples. There are many opponents of gay people as it is, and they all have their reasons to dislike the idea of permitting them get married. One of the main reasons is that the primary purpose of marriage is procreation. Because gay couples are unable to have children, they should not be allowed to marry (Schiffen 495). Another main argument is that the word marriage means the union of one man and one woman. This is a long-standing theme of most major Western religions. Under a proposed bill known as the Defense of Marriage act, marriage is defined as â€Å"a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife.† Furthermore, it defines a spouse as â€Å" a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or wife† (What 1). Under these guidelines, it is quite obvious that gay couples would not be eligible for marriage. People against homosexual marriage also say that it is a person’s choice to be gay. Since the individual chooses to be a homosexual, they should not be given special privileges. Another argument that you hear is that these couples should not get married simply because of the torment and ridicule they would be faced with in their everyday lives. There are news reports from across America telling about how a gay person was beaten or killed just because they were looked at as different. Some of these people would end up the target of verbal abuse and maybe even physical abuse, just because some heterosexual people see them as different.
